Coulours may appear different on the website than in reality. All mentioned prices and sizes are indicative and not binding. Possibly some rugs that are still online, are not available anymore in the showroom.

Two isolated armenian letters near the border of the all over design.

The name Karabagh ( “Black Garden”) is related to a group of Caucasian rugs which have black or dark brown fields decorated with flowers and roses.

Following the 19th century colonial expansion into the region, there was a strong European influence.

But the Armenian population of Karabagh villages made a lot of different patterns: portraits of people or animals (peacocks, lions, horses, dogs, deer, etc) or even postcards with views from around the world which, despite a coarse knot, where skilfully rendered.
