Khaledabad en Kavirabad are two villages in the neighbourhood of Varamin. They are famous for their kilims.

In Iran there are many more villages named Khaledabad.

Veramin is a city in central Persia. The knotted rugs produced downtown only appeared rather recently. Early studies about Persian art in the 19th and 20th century never mention carpets. But there is also a quite interesting production of textiles and flatweaves made by the Kurdish and Turkish families living in the plains surrounding Veramin.
