Coulours may appear different on the website than in reality. All mentioned prices and sizes are indicative and not binding. Possibly some rugs that are still online, are not available anymore in the showroom.

Afshari have Turkish roots and played an important part in the Persian political landscape when the Safavids came to power in the 16th century. They live all around Iran, but mainly in Khuzestan, the Kerman area  and also in Azerbaijan and in Khorasan.

This peculiar pair of small Afshari rugs does not comply to the tradition and avoids contrasting borders with a pattern of its own. The crossing of fine stripes creates a rather modern structure. The main pattern (boteh/parsley) is irregular (it shows the carpets were not manufactured in a workshop) and faded in several shades.
